Nokia E5 launched in India @ Rs. 12,699


                                             
                                               Nokia has launched its new smartphone E5 in India for Rs. 12,699. An addition to Nokia's E-series family, the E5 sports Symbian S60 third edition mobile operating system and specifications similar to the Nokia E72. The new E5 blends business level features along with entertainment capabilities to make itself a perfect choice in that price segment. For the same price, you will get Samsung Galaxy 3 with Android OS running on it. 
                                            Sporting looks similar to Nokia E63, the new E5 draws majority of specifications from E72. Packed in monoblock form factor, E5 offers 2.36-inch TFT display supporting 320x240 pixel resolution screen. Featuring full QWERTY keyboard, this handset has five-way Navi key surrounded by soft keys. This handset supports quad-band GSM and also features Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g) with DLNA support. Under the hood, this phone packs 600MHz ARM 11 architecture based processor with 256MB RAM and 250MB internal storage. Nokia will bundle a 2GB microSD card with the handset.For business level users, E5 supports corporate email through Mail for Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveler. This smartphone has GPS and also offers Assisted-GPS support Ovi Maps. The E5 comes with Symbian OS v 9.3 Series 60 release 3.2 operating system in its heart. For music fans, this phone does offer stereo FM radio with RDS and has 3.5mm audio port allowing the user to use any standard earphones with it. Just like the Nokia E72, the E5 too has been blessed with a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and full focus. This handset offers a good 7.5 hours of talk time in GSM mode thanks to the 1200mAh Li-ion battery. The difference between E72 and E5 is pretty negligible. The newly launched E5 lacks features like Digital Compass, Push to talk, VGA video call, optical trackpad, and accelerometer sensor which are present in the E72.
                                                 Though the official MRP of the phone is Rs. 12,699, it might be available for bit less in different regions of the country. If you're looking for good 3G Network supporting QWERTY phone with Wi-Fi and a good camera, E5 is the best bet in that price.
